At the heart of Römmelt's (*1994) work lies the transformation of social realities and the motivations underpinning them. Her video works are characterized by a strong aesthetic signature and years of research. In these, Römmelt weaves together social anthropology with dance, movement science, and choreographic approaches. She ultimately composes the results of her research into poetic video works.
Ronja Römmelt has recently presented her work at the Fondation Suisse of the Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris, the Art Prospect – Trash 5 Festival in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, as well as at Tanzfest Schweiz and the Dampfzentrale in Bern.
