Stefanie Rübensaal is active in the fields of poetry, graphic design, video, and performance.

She creates intuitively and experimentally, processing impressions of the soul while searching for universal essences. Since 2006, her primary focus has been abstract and collage-like work with video and animation techniques, in which she also integrates different disciplines.

Stefanie Rübensaal grew up in the canton of Aargau. From 2004 to 2013, she lived and worked in Heidelberg, from 2013 to 2019 in Hamburg, and from 2019 until the end of 2023 in Rostock. She is now permanently based in Zurich.

Since 2021, five of her video works have been part of the art collection of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
