Elisa Giardina Papa is an Italian artist whose work investigates gender, sexuality, and labor in relation to neoliberal capitalism and technology. Her work has been exhibited and screened internationally, recently at Whitney Museum (New York, 2017, Sunrise/Sunset Commission), at MoMA (New York, 2013), at HeK (Basel, 2012), at the Unofficial Internet Pavilion of 54th Venice Biennial (Venice, 2011) and on rhizome.org. She taught at Brown University, and at the Rhode Island School of Design, and is currently pursuing a PhD in Media and Film studies at University of California Berkeley. Giardina Papa received an MFA from RISD, and a BA from Politecnico of Milan. She lives and works in Berkeley and Sicily.
