Donia Jornod (*1991, Geneva) currently lives and works in Zurich. Her work focuses on the perceptual limits of reality through the human body. She is searching for the moment in which a mental image, a memory disintegrates and deforms, and realities superimpose. Working with both digital and physical mediums, she has developed a fascination for the body, which she understands as an echo of a political state. Donia Jornod has shown her work in various solo as well as group exhibitions in Switzerland and Germany, including UNI space (Zurich), Galerie Art Und Weise (Bern), EPFL (Lausanne) or at the Biennale d'art, Manifesta 11 (Zurich). Besides her artistic practice, she works as a curator and is founder and member of several collectives such as Abrüpt éditions or cyberpoétique.
