Chantal Michel (*1968, lives in Bern, Switzerland) studied at the Academy of Fine Arts, Karlsruhe. In her photographic and video-based works, she engages in forms of self-presentation and inscription in the art historical canon. Since 2008, she has used various empty buildings for overall installations in which she invites visitors to a culinary experience as their host. Chantal Michel is currently a guest in the "Brückenkopf" in the Marzili district in Bern.
