Andrew Sunderland
Andrew Sunderland’s work investigates the interaction between artist, object, and viewer. Often incorporating aleatoric or participary working methods, he seeks to undermine the art object as a stable entity by creating works that evolve or differ each time they are viewed. Often relying on found images and redundant technologies his work ad-dresses author-ship through a kind of lofi found minimalism that often takes the form of debris from a previous action or process. He is interested in mistakes, chance, anything that has been created regardless of the intent of its creator.
